We're sitting at 46 degrees under gray skies, but that quiet calm is about to break. A powerful system is taking aim at Ohio, bringing a classic spring temperature roller coaster.

As the sun sets. Central Ohio hangs onto 41 degrees tonight under mostly. Cloudy skies, winds shift from the east to the southeast by 4 A.M. Sunday brings a surge of warmth, highs climb to 74 degrees. You'll feel gusts hitting 41 miles an hour by mid-afternoon, rain moves in after 8 P.M. Sunday night, with heavy showers likely, temperatures crash on Monday. We start with rain, then switch to snow by afternoon as temperatures plummet to 45 degrees. Monday night brings a bitter low of 20 degrees.
Northeast Ohio is the cool spot at 36 degrees, while you've a chance of snow showers before 4 A.M. Sunday warms to 72 degrees, but gusts ramp up to 39 miles an hour. Rain arrives after 2 A.M. Monday. Expect a high of 53 degrees before the bottom falls out. Lake effect snow kicks in Monday night and Tuesday, with accumulations of 1 to 2 inches possible. Low temperatures drop to 23 degrees.
As the sun sets. In Southwest Ohio, you sit at 44 degrees tonight,. While sunday looks pleasant with partly sunny skies and a high near 75. Watch out for gusts to 41 miles an hour, showers and thunderstorms develop after 8 P.M. Sunday. Monday turns raw and windy, rain changes to snow with a high of just 37 degrees. Expect a low of 19 degrees Monday night.
