Robert Foss is a co-maintainer of drm_hwcomposer, contributor to mesa and the linux graphics subsystem. He also builds electronics and software art. The open source Linux graphics stack lacks some parts that the Android graphics stack has, and drm_hwcomposer enables more efficiency in dealing with graphics buffers.
