People talk about family in a natural physical sense but then sometimes call their friends, work colleagues, team or gang a family as well. Family is also a picture used in the Bible to describe the church. It seems that at multiple levels it is possible to be part of a family, but sometimes our experiences of family are not good, as the family we are part of is dysfunctional. Throughout this series named "Flourishing Families", we want to help families move from dysfunctional to functional and flourishing. We will unpack principles from the Bible that will help our family relationships move from surviving to thriving.
