Interview with Golf Mental Coach Jim Morrison
Jim Learned to play golf when he was 12 years old. In high school he played golf, basketball and ran cross country. But running around with the wrong crowd and having a problem with substance abuse took him away from what he loved. Being 1 of 5 children, he felt like he was letting his parents down.
Jim decided to change his life and signed up into the Navy. Here Jim learned discipline and structure. He also came to the idea that he wanted to go to college and get back to playing the game he loved, golf.
After college he decided to try to make the pro circuit. Here he found the difficulties of making the pros, but he also found where his passion lied. He loved teaching the mental game.
Now Jim, through his company Perform Better Golf, he focuses on teaching Jr. golfers how to prepare their minds for before, during and after the round.
