Aminata's Bio My name is Aminata, I’m 23. Born and raised in Senegal, migrated to the UK as refugees at the age of 11 years old. Moving to a country where I didn’t speak the language or understand the culture. One of my greatest is achievements is being the first woman in my lineage and with a 1st class honours.
Miss All African Colours England competition, promotes cultural diversity, allowing us to authentically represent not only ourselves by our backgrounds and heritage. “Representation is vital otherwise the butterfly Surrounded by a group of moths unable to see itself will keep trying to become a moth” written by Rupi Kaur My Beauty with a purpose puts refugees and asylum seekers at the centre. Bolton Destitution Project who’s aim is to work with and support asylum seekers. I’m fundraising for them and my goal is to reach £500 and when I do, I will do a 15 k in 2 hours and 500 squats in 30 minutes. The money will go towards helping the destitute asylum seekers who’s claims have been rejected and therefore do not receive any financial aid from the government. I have also partnered with Morrison’s to get food donations for the food bank at the destitution project. Winning the title of Miss AAC would be a dream come true! I thirst for change and I believe this is the way to do it!
