Start The Mental Load Conversation, a guided practice for two, coached every step of the way →https://www.everydayactioncoach.com/offers/SqmNka4VIn 1979, researchers asked married couples what share of the housework they did. Then they added the two answers together. Over a hundred percent. Almost every time. And nobody was lying. That gap has a name: the mental load. The noticing. The remembering. The planning. The work that happens in somebody's head, where nobody can see it.
ABOUT MEI help people get clear on what matters, build the structure to act on it, and keep the momentum going. At home and at work.Work with me one-to-one: https://www.everydayactioncoach.com/coaching
The values most likely to go quiet on you are not the ones you break. They are the ones you keep.
Give every value a behavior. That advice is right, and the reasoning under it is right: a value that exists only as a definition is an aspiration, and a value that generates a specific repeatable action starts becoming identity. So you build the pairs, you attach them to routines that already run, and it works.
That is where the trouble starts.
A value has no edges. It applies wherever it applies, at whatever hour the situation shows up. A habit has edges by design: a start, an end, a place, a duration. Attach one to the other and you have converted something unbounded into something completable. Completable things get completed, and completed things close.
So the value now has office hours. In force inside the window. Settled outside it, because you already paid. The habit was supposed to be evidence of the value. It becomes a receipt for it instead.
**In this episode:**
- Why the standard values-and-habits advice is correct, and what it costs you anyway
- The Office Hours mechanism, and how a habit bounds the value it expresses
- Why capable people lose values faster than disorganised ones
- The morning in Tenerife when every marker was green and the thing being measured had already left
- Reps vs tests, and the one question your alignment audit is missing
- The Discharge Line exercise, in full

You named your values. You never defined them. That gap is why they stop working the second a decision actually costs you something.
A value you have named but never turned into a rule is a Placeholder. It holds the space where a rule should sit, it performs beautifully in conversation, and it returns nothing when you actually need it. Because you cannot break a word. You can only break a rule.
In this episode: why naming your core values feels like finishing but produces nothing operational, the four checks that turn a value into a working definition (Personal, Clear, Actionable, Breakable), and a live walkthrough of the exercise so you finish with one sentence you can actually violate.

In this episode of FlowState, I’m talking about time management, prioritization, energy, values, and the structure required to create real momentum.
This is not about doing more for the sake of doing more. It is about understanding what matters, filtering out what does not, protecting your energy, and taking aligned action.
I walk through the Growth Blueprint framework, including assessment and readiness, vitality, sleep, values, mindset, time management, aligned goals, and optimization. I also share why the 3-2-1 evening routine is one of the simplest ways to start rebuilding your capacity.
If you feel scattered, stuck, overwhelmed, or like you are constantly reacting to life, this episode is a reminder: you do not need more motivation. You need more clarity, better structure, and priorities that actually reflect the life you want to build.
In this episode of FlowState, I’m exploring mindset mastery as the training ground for resistance.
This is not about forcing positivity or waiting to feel ready. It is about building the capacity to meet life with clarity, energy, structure, and aligned action.
I walk through the Growth Blueprint framework and explain how each pillar builds on the next: assessment, vitality, core values, mindset, time management, aligned goals, optimization, and commencement. The deeper message is that the cost of staying stuck is often greater than the discomfort of taking action.
If you have been procrastinating, drifting, avoiding something important, or waiting for the perfect moment to begin, this episode is your reminder:
Take action now. Do the thing. Build the capacity.
In this episode of FlowState, I’m diving into one of the most important pillars of The Growth Blueprint: core values.
Not the generic, inspirational kind. Not the words you write down once and forget about. I’m talking about the values that actually shape your decisions, your habits, your priorities, your relationships, and the life you’re building every single day.
Because the truth is simple: you either choose your values, or life chooses them for you.
They get chosen by culture. By family conditioning. By old survival patterns. By stress. By distraction. By whatever gets your attention long enough to shape your behavior.
In this episode, I explore why core values are the filter for everything: how you make decisions, how you move through discomfort, how you manage your attention, and how you begin taking aligned action instead of living by default.
I also walk through the larger Growth Blueprint framework — from Assessment & Readiness to Vitality, Mindset, Time Management, Aligned Goals, Optimization, and Commencement — and explain why values sit at the center of building a life that actually feels like yours.
This one is about clarity, responsibility, discomfort, discipline, attention, and the power of deciding what you stand for before the world decides for you.

You cannot build a better life from a depleted body, scattered mind, and exhausted nervous system. In this episode of FlowState, I break down why vitality is the second pillar of The Growth Blueprint and why real growth starts with energy.
I walk through the full Growth Blueprint framework, from Assessment & Readiness to Vitality, Core Values, Mindset, Time Management, Aligned Goals, Optimization & Refinement, and Commencement. But the main focus of this episode is vitality: the process of building the energy, capacity, and resilience required to take aligned action consistently.
This episode explores why sleep, nutrition, supplementation, recovery, and daily energy management are not optional parts of personal growth. They are the foundation. If your body is depleted, your clarity suffers. If your sleep is poor, your decision-making suffers. If your nutrition is inconsistent, your capacity suffers. And if your vitality is unstable, the rest of your growth work becomes harder than it needs to be.
I also talk about why most people have adapted to feeling suboptimal, why “I’m fine on five hours of sleep” is usually a sign that you’ve forgotten what good feels like, and why supplementation should support a strong foundation, not replace one.
I believe the best parents lead by example, not by sacrifice.
That's the work I do with moms and dads: rebuild identity, career, and what's actually next. So you can show up asthe person you're trying to raise.
Inside Everyday Action, vitality is not treated as a wellness trend. It is treated as the energy system behind your ability to create clarity, capacity, and momentum.

Most people are chasing balance when what they actually need is clarity.

In this episode of FlowState, I’m breaking down why the idea of a perfectly balanced life often keeps people stuck, scattered, and spread thin across everything. Instead of trying to give equal energy to every area of life, I’m introducing a more honest and effective approach: strategic imbalance.
I walk through a simple life-mapping exercise using four key areas: health, family, social life, and work. By rating where you are right now and seeing the shape of your life clearly, you can begin to understand where your energy actually needs to go next.
This episode also connects directly to the foundation of The Growth Blueprint: assessment and readiness, vitality, core values, mindset, time management, aligned goals, optimization, and commencement. The central message is simple: you cannot change what you cannot see.
Once you see your life clearly, you can stop reacting, start prioritizing, and build momentum through everyday action.
If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, scattered, or unsure where to focus next, this episode will help you identify what matters most right now and take the next aligned step.
Stop chasing balance. Build a life you can actually sustain with clarity, energy, values, time, goals, and everyday action.Click to get unstuck and rebuild your energy. But commencement is not an ending. It is the point where the work becomes real.
Stop waiting for clarity. In this FlowState episode, I break down how real personal growth happens through action, data, and refinement.

This week’s focus is Optimization and Refinement, one of the final pillars of The Growth Blueprint framework. Most people stay stuck because they keep waiting to feel ready, clear, motivated, or confident before they move. But clarity rarely arrives before action. It comes from action.
In this episode, I explore how to stop living reactively, build momentum, and use your own life as feedback. You’ll hear how the full Growth Blueprint sequence works, why vitality and core values come before goals, why discomfort is required for growth, and how small refinements can create massive long-term change.
This episode is for parents, creators, professionals, and growth-minded people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to do next. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect moment to change your life, this is your reminder:
Take action. Get data. Refine. Repeat.
