Justice is not liberal or conservative: Justice is a Christian duty. And we aren't dutiful, just Christians if (1) we have more than we need, (2) others don't have what they need, and (3) we do nothing about it. As St. Paul tells us, "If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth." (1 John 3:17-18)
