The focus of your life can keep you stuck living in the past, it can cause you to fear the future or it can give you the determination to keep moving forward. Most of the problem is not the ability to focus, but rather what you choose to focus on. To understand what the focus of our lives should be, we must understand who we are. Even greater still, to understand our identity, we must first focus our attention on understanding the nature of our Creator. His intention and design are the only things that can define our purpose. The word "focus" means, "the center of interest or activity, the state or quality of having or producing a clear visual definition." The verb of this word means, "to adapt to the prevailing level of light and become able to see clearly or to pay particular attention to." As christians, our focal point can never be ourselves.
