The authors of "The Great Barrington Declaration" recommend that we shift away from the fear-based, lockdown approach to what they call “focused protection”. Their point is that working class people are suffering from the results of policies that are leading to "devastating short and long term public health results, such as: lower childhood vaccination rates, worsening cardiovascular disease outcomes, fewer cancer screenings and deteriorating mental health".
