In Romans 4:1 poses a question to us to the effect of summarizing the essence of God's dealing with Abraham. He wants us to consider what Abraham discovered or learned in his relationship with God. The Apostle himself provides the answer to us: Abraham realized that it is faith that God counts for righteousness.
