#0094 😃Welcome to another episode of Your Purposeful Purpose Podcast😃*Motivation* leads to *Inspiration* which leads to *Transformation* are you willing to take this journey?
In this episode, food addiction is our topic, and let me tell you it’s one of the most overlooked conversations. In this episode I want you to leave this podcast freed of this drug.Â
Â
Today I’m gonna hit this topic from two different angles.Â
Let’s start off with using food as a coping mechanism and why that’s dangerous.Â
On episode #006 I talked about controlling your emotions. Someone with an eating disorder or using food as a coping mechanism usually indicates a lack of emotional mastery.
This is not always a fact, but must of us never learned how to take control of our emotions. Leaving us wide open to whatever life has to offer for that day.
Example:
Your day doesn’t go as planned, someone close to you or someone you don’t know hurts your feelings, and last but not lease you don’t like the reflection you see in the mirror will trigger an emotional response from you. If you don’t have control over your emotions you will seek out some type of coping mechanism and this will is food.Â
Now on the other hand we have manufactured addiction, which is around 80% of the food in stores if not more and fast food. I’m talking about the food that is designed to keep you coming back for more.
What am I getting at on this episode?Â
Why am I talking about food addiction?Â
If you don’t have control of what goes into your mouth you don’t have control of your brain.Â
