The new month of April always begins with the silliness of April Fools. Still, it marks a moment we can also take quite seriously, as in what kind of “Fools for Christ” can we be? Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, launching us into a whirlwind of faith exploration the world will call foolish. Yet, we trust I Corinthians 1:18 is true: “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God.”
