Aged 12, Heather Garriock watched Kieran Perkins win Olympic Gold at Atlanta 1996. Heather’s vision of her life was set from that point on.
Not long later, she trialled to make the Football squad at Westfields Sports High School. There were 200 boys trialling, and Heather. She made the squad of 16.
Three years later Heather became an Olympian at the Sydney Games, and went on to play 130 matches for the Matildas, compete at two Olympics, three World Cups, and enter the Hall of Fame.
Heather is now the first CEO of Football Australia. This is her story.
