It was a hell of a weekend for the Hraban clan! Tonkie, Baron, Carmen, and I spent a day at Bay Beach in Green Bay, WI. Bay Beach is a killer amusement park right along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. We filled our afternoon with rides such as the Ferris Wheel, Scrambler, SCAT, Tug Boat, Drop Tower, and the famous Zippin’ Pippin’. God damn, we had a good time! We had enough tickets to spend at least a week there as well - 240 to be exact. I’m glad the kids had a great time because we cannot wait to go back soon! With that said, the weekend didn’t stop there. Tonkie and I had some free time that Saturday, so we decided to put our new state park pass to good use and hit up a new location. Tonks picked a spot called Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers, WI. Because of a last-second audible—improvised and suggested by Tonkie—we ended up staying the night in Two Rivers at a cheap motel. It was a little getaway that turned out to be an amazing day—minus the rough start to our original plans. Between strolling down the beach on Lake Michigan, hiking through the campsite and trails, chowin’ down at Whiskey D’s, and spending our evening watching the sunset over the lake, our time couldn’t have been spent any better! Thank you, Tonks. That mini-trip was much needed during these recent times of high stress. I can always count on you to shake things up and keep us focused on the things that really matter: adventure and each other. I love you and can’t wait to see where we end up next! ❤️
