We got put through our paces as Hawthorn players today, and the contrast couldn’t have been starker. Joey lives his best life at his childhood club. Dan? Doesn’t even make it through warm-ups - tears his hammy stretching for a high ball.

Spirits took a hit, but the pod was still a blast. All fun and games… until I realise I probably can’t pick Poppy up for the next 2–12 weeks.

Here’s hoping we didn’t just curse the Hawks.
