Mental and physical health are treated differently by the medical system, but we need physical health in order to have good mental health, AND it is also true that negative mental health can worsen our physical health. Inflammation occurs from physical work or strenuous exercise AND also occurs from an emotional upset whether anger or grief or even a lot of excitement.
Both our physical and mental health are connected at the neck, connected with our circulatory system and energy flow. EMF or an excess of blue light from digital screens or at night increases inflammation by allowing calcium to overflood our cells, similarly to excitotoxins in the diet (glutamates or aspartame and Neotame artificial sweeteners). Black-out curtain darkness is best for our circadian health and night-time production of melatonin and then get out in natural sunshine in the morning for a good circadian start to the day.
Epsom salt soaks provide magnesium and sulfate topically, bypassing a stressed gut that cannot absorb magnesium well due to the Autonomic Nervous System's fear response reducing digestive function. We can't run away from a Saber Tooth Tiger as well when energy is being used to digest the last meal. Inflammation from EMF or an excess of blue light uses up magnesium and it is needed to block the excitotoxic entry of calcium into our cells.
Changing our habits takes some work, but the protection can be worth having a better mood and better long-term health. Inflammation is disruptive to our quantum energy and mental calm. We need to slow down from the fast pace of modern life and give our body time to clear out toxins and waste from the day. Drinking structured water beverages or just adequate water helps, along with walking and other moderate stretching exercises. Muscle movement helps clear out toxins and deliver nutrients to the body.
