This episode explores how to apply 1 Corinthians 10:31 to your business messaging, showing practical ways to write copy that points people back to Jesus while still promoting your offers.
I share personal experience as a copywriter for Christian organizations and walk through two main parts: identifying your business purpose (spiritual and practical) and keeping Christ at the center of your messaging by clarifying your offer, audience, uniqueness, and how your product or service reflects or creates opportunities to point others to Christ.
Even if you're not a business owner, there are lessons here for you, too! All of us work during the day, and we can ask ourselves many of these questions to remind us of our purpose for doing the work in front of us.
This episode reflects on Luke 9:10–17 and 1 Corinthians 10:31, exploring what it looks like to make Jesus the center, reason, content, and power of your ministry—whether that ministry is your business, parenting, friendships, or daily work.
Through personal stories and practical examples (Christian brands, service professions, coffee shops), the host asks: are we offering ourselves or Jesus? Listeners are encouraged to pause, identify one area of life to bring back to Jesus, and make time to retreat with Him.

What does it mean to “do whatever you do to the glory of God”?
Does it mean that you’re a Rolodex of bible verses, ready to recite a verse on command? Does it mean you respond with “all glory to God” when people compliment you? Maybe...maybe not.
Together, we'll learn what it means through scripture and stories.
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 10:31, this episode features Kayla Colvin of Kayla Colvin Photography sharing how a surprise camera from her husband grew into a business that points people to God. She explains how she intentionally captures authentic, meaningful family moments and prioritizes client care to reflect Christs heart.
Kayla discusses reinventing the family session to create low-stress, high-fun experiences, serving military and special-needs families, offering gifted sessions to ministry and adoptive families, and practical ways other Christian photographers can glorify God through how they treat clients and run their businesses.
In this episode, we unpack 1 Corinthians 10:31 through the story of PJ, a former D1/D3 women’s soccer coach turned pastor, exploring how to glorify God in highly performative spaces like collegiate athletics.
PJ shares practical examples of loving players well, leveraging relationships as ministry, resisting performance-driven shame, and how coaching can become a mission field that points others to Jesus.

What does it mean to live for God's glory? Does it mean spitting bible verse every time you speak or respond with, “All glory to God,” when people compliment you?
It could.
Those things aren’t bad.
But I question whether it's limited to that.
The goal of this podcast is to demystify what it means to live for God’s glory by inviting Christians to share their stories and give us real-life examples of what it means to “do all to the glory of God.”
