This is the third installment of our five-part series recognizing the growing trend of men getting involved in issues of gender equality, particularly on MBA campuses. As the movement grows, we wanted to gather thoughts and ideas of male allies and share them with you so you can hear some of these inspiring men creating innovative and meaningful dialogue in this space.
In this episode we talk with Matthew Pilnik, graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Pilnik credits his awareness of gender inequality in the workplace to strong female role models in his childhood. It was that personal approach to the issue that made him not only want to join Fuqua’s male ally group, but become heavily involved in it. From there he was able to help others see how gender inequality appears in the workplace, and create personal “aha” moments for his peers.
