In Joshua 3, the people of Israel were facing what seemed to be an insurmountable obstacle: the Jordan River at flood stage. On the other side of that river was their future home, their future identity. But in order to get from where they were to where they needed to be, they had to focus on God and his promises, and take a step of faith.
