Esther and Mordecai were facing something that they could never have imagined. Circumstances were completely out of their control, and there was nothing they could do themselves to fix it. Though God is never directly mentioned in the Book of Esther, a doctrine that has been pretty well overlooked in our day is present throughout, and may just be the answer to our problems today: Providence.
