About Jornea

Jornea Armant is a visionary educator and strategic leader currently serving as a Program Manager with Milestone Technologies supporting the Google for Education Global Impact Team. With over two decades of experience, she is dedicated to leveraging technology to create equitable learning opportunities and empower educators worldwide.

Jornea’s career is marked by a deep commitment to the "human" side of EdTech. She began this journey at the startup Flipgrid, remaining with the team through its 2018 acquisition by Microsoft and continuing her impact there on AI efforts in education until 2024. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in fostering global educator communities and scaling digital engagement tools that transformed classrooms into collaborative hubs.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Jornea is an innovator and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of Savvy Cre8tions, LLC, where she blends her creative expertise with instructional design to support brands and educators in building meaningful digital identities. Having served as a classroom teacher and instructional coach, she brings a grounded, practitioner’s perspective to every global initiative she leads. Based in New Orleans, Jornea continues to be a highly motivated speaker and mentor, committed to unlocking student potential by bridging the gap between innovative technology and intentional pedagogy.

Her most current endeavor has her working at a nonprofit that teaches video game design to underrepresented communities.
