Today I have my teacher friend, Elizabeth is with us. We talk generically, out of respect for students, about what is going on in her school regarding gender identity. What are the kids wrestling with? What are they talking about? How as a teacher does she address issues? How does the school handle things? Based on her daily interactions with teens, Elizabeth has practical tips and "how to's" when addressing sensitive issues with teens, while keeping healthy boundaries and honoring their emerging sense of self.

It's just one teachers take on the issues, from one school, and yet it is experience and wisdom that can transcend to whatever situation you might be in with the teens you love.
