To confess; for years insecurity got the best of me. 
There was a battle going on in front of the mirror everyday: hating the body that stared back at me. 
A battle of jealousy set off in my mind when another woman would succeed in my circle.

 
A battle with deep insecurity; an endless stream of lies that slowly poisoned my compassion and blinded my ability to celebrate. 

I learned to live with this 'norm.' But what was once merely an inner battle, quickly transformed to visible changes in my life.  I overworked out and under ate. I couldn't even listen to women teachers or worship leaders. I hated women's groups or ministries.

Insecurity ate me alive... including my calling. 

I just wonder if you've also accepted this way of life as  ‘our normal.' Believing…

• We’ll always just struggle being jealous of her.
• We’ll always feel inadequate around those people.
• We’ll always have bitter rivals.
• We’ll always have that tug of inferiority when you walk into a room full of powerful people.
• We’ll always have this sour passion within us that will never run free and redeemed.  

In this episode I'm unpacking a fresh biblical perspective on insecurity. With a deep dive into the VERY moment the Holy Spirit intersected my mess to offer the beautiful invitation to grow up in God. 

Maybe the enemy has been quietly whispering in your ear, “you’ll never be free from this. It's part of life.”
But today, the Spirit of God says “no, there’s a better way.”
