"We have been burying our investments in the ground and called it safe."
In this episode, I'm speaking to the woman who is done playing small, done playing it safe, done playing it halfway and half-hearted.
I've been sitting with the parable of the talents, and I can't stop thinking about the servant who buried what he was given — out of fear of rejection, fear of not being enough, fear of what could be taken away. I talk to women all the time who sense the call to lead, to write, to gather, to build, and yet bury that little sliver of hope because they're terrified of losing it.
It's time to dig it out. It's time to trust the talents He's given us back into the kingdom of God.
Obedience is costly. And the fire in her eyes was never hers to begin with.
