This episode is about the church looking at the statistics that have been put together based on the behavior of the leaders of the Christian Church today. This study is in two parts.
So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
1 Thessalonians 2:3For our appeal does not arise from deceit or ulterior motives or trickery
2 Thessalonians 2:10-1210 and with every wicked deception directed against those who are perishing, because they refused the love of the truth that would have saved them.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Isaiah 44:20He feeds on ashes. His deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say, "Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?"
Micaiah Prophesies against Ahab1 Kings 22:21-22. (2 Chronicles 18:12–27)
Then a spirit came forward, stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will entice him.’ ‘By what means?’ asked the LORD. 22And he replied, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouths of all his prophets.’ ‘You will surely entice him and prevail,’ said the LORD. ‘Go and do it.’ 23So you see, the LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has pronounced disaster against you.”…
