- For the Welfare of the City: 2025 Election Sermon
- Be involved civically by voting biblical values
Be involved prayerfully by praying God’s Word over our state
- Should a Christian care or be involved in the politics / culture of the day?
- Policies shape a society, societies shape a people, and God cares deeply about people.
- Jeremiah 29:7
- Jeremiah 29:5-6
- Any space a Christian doesn’t stand in, the enemy will gladly fill.
- Objection: “People in the Bible didn’t try to involve their faith in the politics of the day.”
Response: In whatever way possible given their cultural context, faithful Christians have always strove to advance the work of God in the earth in any avenue they could.
- “We are now called upon to exercise one of the privileges and duties which go with liberty, let no man be neglectful of it. Every God fearing man should give his vote with as much devotion as he prays.” Charles Spurgeon

- Virginia Constitutional Amendment HJ1
- Abortion up to the moment of birth for any reason
- Babies left to die on the table if they survive an abortion attempt. Medical care not legally required by doctors.
- No parental consent or knowledge needed for a minor to receive abortion.
- “reproductive freedom” umbrella to not just include women to allow sterilization surgeries for minors who are gender confused
- 103% increase of abortions in VA last 6 years. Virginia will become the Abortion Capital destination
- Genesis 1:27
- Jeremiah 1:5
- Psalm 139:13-16
- FAMILY: MARRIAGE & IDENTITY
- Virginia Constitutional Amendment HJ9
- Creates a “sex” and “gender” distinction that will pressure schools, businesses, churches, and government to adopt policies that conflict with biological reality
- Reduces marriage to a source of happiness and eliminates language that shows obligations and benefits to biblical marriage.
- Provides no exemption clause for religious exemption or personal conscience
- Objection: “Christians only care about certain issues.”
Response: All issues are not created equal. If the foundation is destroyed, whatever is built upon it won’t last.
