Megan and Laura are back after a long Jubilee rest! We are happy to be back listening to stories of Regnum Christi women building the Kingdom throughout the world.
Today we are joined by an RC young woman from Canada, Lauren Weimer. She just finished serving two years as a Regnum Christi Missionary in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lauren shares with us how her relationship with Jesus, her Best Friend, has shaped her life and mission and fueled her desire to share His love with others—especially through the beautiful apostolate of ECYD!
Her story is a shining example of what Pope Leo said to the young people this summer in Tor Vegata in Rome, "Friendship in Christ is not just helping others build the future; it is our guiding star!”
May we all aspire to live our life alongside our Lord and Friend, Jesus, and spend our lives giving His love to others!
We are continuing as pilgrims of hope in the Jubilee Year, now enjoying the graces of Pentecost! Last episode, we were able to listen to Betti’s story as she prepared for her first vows. In today's episode, we'll sit around the table with Savanna, a young woman who is just beginning her vocational discernment with the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. It’s beautiful to hear the fresh love she has for the Lord and how she sees God’s fidelity in her own life, filled with many twists and turns. He is faithful, and that is a great reason for HOPE.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.-Jeremiah 29:11
Happy Easter, dear listeners! After a bit of a stint, Laura and Megan are back with testimonies of hope to inspire you in this Jubilee Year as Pilgrims of Hope!
This week they are joined by a young woman, Betti Duda, who is in her candidacy before making first vows with the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. She shares how she had a conversion on the night St. John Paul II died, and how that night was the catalyst of her vocational journey.
To quote the last homily of our late Pope Francis: “And so we cannot settle for the fleeting things of this world or give in to sadness; we must run, filled with joy. Let us run towards Jesus, let us rediscover the inestimable grace of being his friends.”
Love for Jesus impels her, and we pray it impels each of you to follow the call the Lord has placed on your hearts and in your lives.
The first guest for Season 2’s hope-tellers is long-time RC member Janet Lees. From her Ohio home, this wife, mother, and grandmother has found deep hope in the mission of listening and witnessing to others and getting a front-row seat to God’s glory. Janet shares how her love for the Lord and our spiritual family, her training in spiritual direction, and St. Ignatius’ 19th annotation of his Spiritual Exercises have led her to marvel at God’s glory.
We hope today’s episode blesses you, as it blessed us!
Welcome to Season 2 on the For This Moment Podcast! Megan and Laura take time during this episode to reflect on the past year of the podcast and the blessings they’ve received, as well as launch the new season. This year will be focused on story-telling or, as Pope Francis says, “hope-telling”. The podcast will now focus on RC women with stories of hope to nourish you on your pilgrim journey this Jubilee Year.
On January 25, 2025, Pope Francis encouraged us to tell stories filled with hope that nourish the soul. “Telling hope,” he said “means allowing people to hope against hope..having a gaze that transforms things, making them what they could and should be.”
Here’s to a new season and being apostles of hope!
This week we have a unique episode! Our first time interviewing two women who share a similar passion: the way of beauty. Megan and Laura's sister, Emily, and Holly join us around the table to discuss how they find God's love through beauty. They are both artists, and describe how their love for art's creative process ultimately points them to God. Both share how this love for art has helped them both put on and attend the Regnum Christi Artist retreat in Cincinnati, Ohio.
"The Church needs art and artists, for beauty is the promise of happiness. The greatness of art is rooted in the fact that it seeks and finds a bridge to the human soul... Art opens up to us a path to the divine, showing us a beauty that reflects the glory of God."-Pope St. John Paul II, Letter to Artist, 1999

Around the table, we are delighted to invite our guest, Elsa Hoffman, whose knack for storytelling illustrates God's presence with her throughout her life. She shares how she first came to find Jesus as her best friend, and how, in the many different apostolates she's been a part of, her main desire is for others to encounter Him and be set on fire to give His love to others. Enjoy this week's episode and, if God inspires, maybe share with a friend who needs light and encouragement!
An exciting new apostolate, First Fruits, is launching and Kathleen Conklin is here to share with us all about it! Her story of being impacted as a young child in a faith-filled family, her deep desire as a wife and mother to pass that faith on, and her adventures of moving cross-country and founding K4J (Kids for Jesus) all contribute to how God has prepared her for such a time as this to help start a new apostolate for young families. Enjoy hearing how God prepared her and how you can learn more to form yourself, your spouse, and your children into a faith-filled family!

Megan and Laura are kicking off the new year of 2025 with an interview with their mom, Elizabeth (Beth) Matthews. It truly was girl time around the table as they listened to Beth share her story of the tender faith in her childhood: from nightly rosary to the mountains of Peru. Beth shares how her desire to know the faith and pass it on to others grew stronger each year. Regnum Christi was an answered prayer and has been, for nearly 30 years, an instrument of grace in her life. This episode includes a bonus Advent by Candlelight talk Laura and Beth gave in Atlanta, Georgia. In all the many stories Beth shares, she truly can say she can “count it all joy”!
“Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And let perseverance be perfect, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”-James 1:2-4

Happy Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe! Around the table today we have Emily Roman, a Consecrated Woman of Regnum Christi, sharing her story of life and love with Jesus, building His Kingdom! As she says, “we ended up talking a little bit about everything!”, which sparked the title and also the motto of her beloved Pinecrest Academy: Everything is grace! We hope you all enjoy the laughter, joy, and sisterhood! She is a woman in love with Jesus, her King, and is teaching, serving, and singing with all her heart to make Him known and loved.
