  • When Life Contradicts the Song | Andy Brown

    In this message, we'll discover:

Why God's sovereignty is a present reality, not just a future promise

How to trust God when you can't understand His plan

Why difficult circumstances don't mean God has lost control

How trials can strengthen our faith and produce steadfastness

Why we can rejoice even before our circumstances change

What it means to move beyond simply believing in God to actively trusting Him

Psalm 97 reminds us that our hope isn't built on what we can see or control. It's built on the unchanging truth that the Lord reigns.

When life contradicts the song, don't stop singing.

    Scripture: Psalm 97, Psalm 96:10, Matthew 28:18–20, Acts 2:36, Exodus 19, James 1:2–4, Psalm 30:5

  • The Song That Never Grows Old | Andy Brown

What if the most powerful force shaping your life is not a decision, a habit, or a discipline, but a song? Psalm 96 opens with a striking command repeated three times: sing to the Lord. This is no casual instruction. It is an invitation into the deepest kind of transformation, where truth does not merely inform the mind but takes root in the soul. At the heart of this psalm is what we might call the song of salvation, a song centered on the most marvelous work God has ever performed, not the creation of galaxies or the complexity of human life, but the sending of His Son to accomplish what no system of religion or self-improvement ever could. The psalm draws a sharp contrast between the God who made the heavens and the worthless idols that exist only within the imagination of created beings. Every rival song, every competing narrative that promises satisfaction and delivers emptiness, is measured against this one. And the remarkable thing is that this song is not meant to be sung once. It is meant to be sung from day to day, meeting us in our fear, our anxiety, our irritability, and our doubt. The gospel is not the diving board we jump off at the beginning of faith. It is the very pool we swim in for the rest of our lives. We never outgrow our need for it, and we never exhaust its depth.

  • What Are You Rehearsing Into Your Life? | Andy Brown

What if the songs we sing are doing something far deeper than we realize? This message invites us to reconsider the purpose of music in our spiritual lives. Rather than simply being an outlet for our emotions, singing is presented as a powerful mechanism God uses to form us from the inside out. Drawing from Psalm 95, we are reminded that God always takes the initiative, calling us into His presence not based on how we feel, but based on who He is. The psalm paints a breathtaking portrait of a God who holds the depths of the earth and the heights of the mountains in His hands, and yet personally and intimately calls us His own people, the sheep of His pasture. The same hands that shaped creation are the hands reaching out to invite us to sing. This is not a passive or casual invitation. It is a covenant call from a God whose love is unfailing, unending, and deeply personal. As we explore what it truly means to worship, we are challenged to ask ourselves how we are responding to that call right now, in this season of our lives.

  • What Are You Trusting to Make You Secure? | Andy Brown

What does it truly mean to serve God with an undivided heart? In this powerful conclusion to a series on the life we are spending, we are confronted with one of the most direct and searching questions Jesus ever asked: who actually has us? Drawing from Matthew 6:24, we are reminded that Jesus does not use accounting language when he talks about treasure and mastery. He uses the language of love, devotion, hatred, and loyalty. That is because the rivalry for our hearts is not merely financial. It is deeply relational. Mammon, that ancient word for possessions and wealth, is not just a category of stuff we accumulate. It is a rival master that promises security, freedom, and control while quietly relocating our deepest affections. The logic Jesus lays out is striking: treasure shapes the heart, the heart shapes the vision, and vision determines who sits on the throne of our lives. When we trace that chain honestly, we are often surprised by what we find ruling us. This message challenges us to ask not just what we own, but what owns us, and whether we are willing to open our hands and surrender it all.

  • What Has Your Eye? How Treasure Shapes Your Vision | Andy Brown

What if the way we see the world around us reveals far more about our inner lives than we realize? In this message drawn from Matthew 6, we explore a striking principle Jesus lays out for us: we do not simply see with our eyes, we see through them. Our eyes function like a lamp, illuminating what is already inside our hearts. Jesus reverses the logic we often use on ourselves. We tend to assume our hearts are in the right place regardless of how we live, but Jesus says show me your treasure and I will show you your heart. From there, He connects treasure to heart and heart to vision, challenging us to examine what has truly captured our attention. Whether it is security, success, approval, or money, whatever holds our deepest value will shape the lens through which we interpret every person and every situation we encounter. The message draws a powerful parallel between Jesus's teaching and the Old Testament concept of the evil eye found in Deuteronomy 15, where God warns His people not to look grudgingly on those in need. An evil eye sees generosity as a loss. A healthy eye asks not what can I get, but what can I give. This is not simply an abstract spiritual idea. It is a daily, practical reality that shapes how we treat the people right in front of us.

  • Where is your heart going? | Andy Brown

What if the gap between who we think we are and who we truly are is wider than we realize? This message invites us into an honest, soul-searching inventory of our lives, asking questions that cut straight to the heart: Where do we spend our time? What keeps us up at night? What are we afraid to lose? These questions are not meant to shame us but to awaken us to a truth that Jesus lays out plainly in Matthew 6. The surprising logic He offers flips our assumptions upside down. We tend to believe that our hearts lead us to what we treasure, but Jesus reverses that entirely. He tells us that where our treasure is, that is precisely where our hearts will be found. Our treasure does not just reveal our hearts, it relocates them. This means that if we want to change the direction of our lives, we do not start by trying to change our feelings or our motivations. We start by moving our treasure. That is a principle with profound implications for how we spend our time, our money, our attention, and our energy every single day.

  • Removing the Veil | Andy Brown

What changes when we truly believe Jesus is coming again?

In “Removing the Veil,” we explore how the promised return of Christ reshapes the way we live today. The resurrection of Jesus is not merely a past event—it is the beginning of God’s promised future breaking into our present reality.

Through 1 Thessalonians 4:13–5:6, we are reminded that Christians do not grieve without hope. Jesus died, rose again, and will return. Until that day, we are called to live by faith rather than sight, refusing to treat money, power, politics, success, suffering, or even death as ultimate.

This message challenges us to ask:

What am I treating as ultimate simply because I can see it?

What am I building my life around that has no place in the future Jesus is bringing?

Our hope is not found in knowing every detail about the end times. Our hope is found in knowing the One who is coming. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life—and one day, those who belong to Him will always be with the Lord.

Be encouraged: your future is secure in Christ, and that future can transform your life today.

    Primary Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:13–5:6
    Additional Scripture: John 14:1–6

  • Where Jesus Is Now and Why It Matters | Andy Brown

Where is Jesus now, and why does His ascension matter for your everyday life? This sermon on Acts 1:6–11 explores Jesus Christ’s ascension into heaven, His reign at the right hand of God, and His promise to return.

Jesus is alive, He reigns, and He is coming again. Those truths change how we pray, worship, face suffering, and share our faith. When the world feels uncertain, the ascension reminds us that the throne is already occupied—and Jesus Christ is Lord.

“Where Jesus Is Now and Why It Matters” is part five of a six-part sermon series exploring the promises of Jesus in John 14. Through Acts 1, Acts 2, and Ephesians 1, this message connects the resurrection and ascension of Jesus to Christian hope and daily life.

    In this message, discover:
    • What happened when Jesus ascended into heaven
    • What it means that Jesus sits at the right hand of God

    • How Christ’s authority changes our response to fear and uncertainty
    • How the promise of Jesus’ return shapes the way we live today

  • Why Is There Only One Way To God | Andy Brown

In this message from our Behind the Veil series, we examine what qualifies Jesus to declare, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” Jesus is not merely one way among many, a guide with directions, or a teacher whose principles we should master. He is Lord—and He is the way home.
Through the stories of Thomas, Philip, and Moses, we discover that we need more than directions and more than God’s blessings. We need God Himself. The gifts of God can never replace the presence of God, and there is no substitute for a personal relationship with Jesus.
Christianity doesn’t ultimately present us with a system to follow. It presents us with a Person to know.
Do you simply know about Jesus, or do you truly know Him?

  • How Did Jesus Prepare the Way to Heaven? | Andy Brown

What does it actually take for people like us to live in the presence of a holy God? That question sits at the heart of this message, and the answer is more liberating than we might expect. Drawing from Hebrews 10, we are walked through the ancient sacrificial system and shown why it could never fully close the gap between us and God. Every repeated offering at the temple did one thing well: it reminded people that the distance was still there. But then something changed everything. When Christ offered Himself as a single, once-for-all sacrifice, He did not just patch the problem. He dismantled the old order entirely and established a new one. Sin is explored here not merely as a list of bad habits we think we can manage, but as something far deeper: everything within us that falls short of the holy life God created us for, and our fundamental refusal to trust and reflect Him. Understanding sin at that depth helps us feel the full weight of what Christ actually accomplished on the cross. The message is clear and stunning: He crossed the distance we could never cross, and He has perfected us for all time. That is not a small claim. It is the foundation of genuine confidence in our walk with God.
