Fore the Kids foundation is a proud supporter of Children’s Mercy, raising money to provide services and treatment advances to help bring smiles to children’s faces at a time when they are hard to find…but so incredibly important.

Help us meet our goals for 2017:

Funds benefit the development of an integrated education and treatment program to support the developmental and behavioral sciences division of CMK.

Nick and Jake’s Fore the Kids golf tournament has been a proud supporter of Children’s Mercy, raising over $1.5 million and providing all the “extra’s” of care. Proceeds from the tournament have brought iPads to patient’s bedsides, created and started a pet Therapy program for children with cancer and epilepsy. And teamed with the Automobile Dealers of Greater Kansas City Charitable Foundation, Fore the Kids raised enough money to purchase a brand-new ambulance in 2015 and two new critical care ambulances in 2016.

For years the topic of suicide and depression for school-aged children has been so taboo and terrifying to talk about, but the fact of the matter is, suicide is the second leading cause of death in the United States for anyone between the ages of 10-24. More teenagers die from suicide than cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.
