It’s been almost a year since I posted my first rant on the state of the Vancouver housing market where I had said that things had gotten stupid. (Honestly doesn’t feel like a year ago). But things have changed a little bit.   

The market has slowed considerably due in part to some government intervention and also because of some other trends like affordability and livability. Downsizing plays into that as well with some people realizing now that they don’t need the big house anymore - or if they do, they go to Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford and other places in the Fraser Valley.  

But the big thing here is what do you do next? Maybe you were looking to buy in Vancouver and now you’re not sure because of the cooling market. Maybe you’re in the real estate game and you’ve got to figure some shit out in your life now. Regardless, hopefully this video can help you figure some of that shit out, or at least just give you some insight into the current trends.  

I know I am doing some reevaluation myself in my mortgage business so you’ll get to see where my head is at regarding my future plans.   

2018 was a great learning year and we’re going to roll with that into 2019.
