You see, the journey into progressive Christianity is not an easy one - he knows; it's a journey he took - and there's so much for people to learn and understand about themselves, about their faith, and about how they interact with the people who have not made the shift with them.

Colby is the co-pastor, along with his wife Kate, of the Sojourn Grace Collective in San Diego, CA. Colby is passionate about carving our a more generous and affirming space within Christianity as evidenced in his previous book, "UnClobber: Rethinking our Misuse of the Bible on Homosexuality." He's got four sons, a sweet beard, and he is also the originator of the now ubiquitous nickname, "Deacon Jim."
