As Jesus prepares the apostles for their first mission, he charges them to be fearless in the face of opposition.

Jesus warns the apostles of those who are hostile towards the gospel. While persecution was to be expected, they were to be harmless as doves.

TWELVE WERE SENT - Matthew 10:1-15

I. Jesus Calls the Apostles; vs.1-4

II. Jesus Commands the Apostles; vs.5-10

III. Jesus Cautions the Apostles; vs.11-15

Jesus sends out the twelve apostles to expand his reach in proclaiming the Kingdom of Heaven and healing the sick.

THE COMPASSION OF JESUS (Matthew 9:27-28)

III. Jesus Raises the Dead; vs.23-26

A woman with an unclean condition comes to Jesus in faith and is healed. In the meantime, a young girl dies from her illness. Jesus goes to her home and raises her from the dead.
