Delcy Rodriguez, the staunch Chavista leader of Venezuela, has become an ally of President Trump, using X recently to praise him:

“I thank President @realDonaldTrump

for the kind willingness of his government to work together on an agenda that strengthens binational cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the United States and Venezuela.”

This is not a betrayal of the Communist ideology Delcy believes in. It’s her way of living out an ideology not well suited for the world in 2026 and going forward.
