To receive forgiveness you must truly own the magnitude of your sin and the greater magnitude of God’s grace.

True Repentance
Proverbs 28:13—“Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.”
Confessing & Accepting Consequences
Psalm 51:3-5—“For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.”
Turning from the Sin
Luke 3:8—“Bear fruit in keeping with repentance.”
Receiving Forgiveness
Psalm 103:1-5—“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
