Peter got right to the point the good news of peace through Jesus Christ. The message was simple and powerful.

Cornelius and everyone gathered in his home that day were saved. This was a historical moment. These were the very first Gentiles to receive Jesus and to be given the Holy Spirit.

They also received forgiveness of sins. It was the fulfillment of prophesy. As Peter said all the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.
