Welcome to the Two Bitter Babes podcast! @twobitterbabes on IG. We are two besties who got the wind knocked out of us when our long-term spouses suddenly bounced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Living in different states from each other during isolation, we took turns having each other’s back through messages, phone calls, and video chats as we struggled through mind-f’ing shock and confusion, heart-gnawing grief and rage, and body-slamming fear and anxiety over how we were going care for our future elder selves. Through sharing our stories, we have found that we are not alone. Did you know the divorce rate has doubled since 1990 for those over 55? And for those over 65, the rate has tripled! And it’s probably not surprising to anyone that women’s standard of living plummets by 45%, more than double that of men.So what do we do? We share what we’ve learned at the Academy of A$$holes!
