God has had mercy on us. It is while we were yet sinners that Jesus came and died for us. W were the ones who had deeply offended God by sinning, but His response was to love us and send Jesus to die for us. In the same way, God wants us to forgive those who have hurt us the most. These people may be dirty rats, but God wants us to show the same kind of mercy to them as He showed us.
