A Book Worth Reading
I am ranked among that small group of folks that actually majored in History as an undergraduate. While I I received lots of flack for this decision, at the time I had lots of reasons, but mostly I like history, a lot. How ever you need not be a historian to enjoy this book! This book is a fun read, that provides new and/or corrected information about well known events in world history. While there exist some editing issues in the text, I think many people who will enjoy reading this book!!!!!
Revisit our rich history in a different light
There is no denying that some parts of our history was already forgotten or worse omitted for various reasons, may it be that they find it less essential than the others. I was happy to read some stuff that are no longer quipped as relevant. I am always amused of how people explored places and things that makes them curious. This book is an amazing compilation of the people that made difference to how we are living this world today.
Not as expected
A mediocre book. Some articles interesting, others not so. I am fairly well read in history and detected either factual or incomplete topics. Many articles entirely too brief. I did not bother to finish the book and took it out of my Amazon library. Not recommended.
Interesting read, needs proof reading
Some people were ones I knew, while others were new to me. Interesting facts that make me want to dig deeper into some persons mentioned. Definitely needs to be proofread. Several passages had to be re-read several times.
SO SO!!!!
Had some good history and some repeats. It a good read on the s***ter.
