When you have depth and discipline you understand that sacrifice is an example we set that shows who is above us. Maybe the word "sacrifice" makes you cringe, or causes your walls to go up, but journey with us as we unfold what sacrifice has become and what it biblically means for all of us.

Sacrifice is dirty humility and messy compassion. We do what is beneath us, to show Who is above us. Compassion is non-conforming, and if your compassion only conforms to your belief system it's not compassion, it's counterfeit. Service is about inner posture not just outer activity, and sacrifice means committing to pay a cost.
