Former Drug Company Chemist Exposes Psychiatric Drugs

Endless advertisements on TV portraying a “better” life if you take psychiatric drugs can only mean one thing – someone is making an awful lot of money off of them.  The pharmaceutical industry is a multi-billion dollar enterprise – in fact, hundreds of billions of dollars are being made yearly off prescription drugs.  Psychiatric drugs such as antidepressants like Prozac or antipsychotics like Zyprexa compose some of the most lucrative drugs on the market for one reason – they are not treating real diseases, but rather behaviors or feelings that change daily, whether on a drug or not. Despite the appearance that the FDA only approves drugs that are “safe and effective,” the evidence is contrary.  Multi-million dollar settlements are paid yearly by big pharma to people damaged by their psychiatric drugs and fines over $1 billion have been paid by pharma for “off-label” marketing of drugs like Zyprexa as a “cost of doing business.” The People's Chemist, Shane Ellison, is a former chemist for Eli Lilly and Co., author and is now a recognized authority on therapeutic nutrition.  He reveals the inner workings of the psychiatric/pharmaceutical industry in today's 38-minute show.
