The Monroe County Board of Health is slated to meet on Thursday, June 26th. The health board has been steeped in controversy following the closure of Futures Family Planning Clinic. During last month’s board meeting, the board of health suspended public comment, with board members saying they will develop a new public comment policy in their June meeting. This came after former Futures employees and local officials called for greater transparency and accountability as to why the clinic closed.
