Karina Taylor was born and raised in Olympia, WA. She is a former Army Military Police officer who moved to Las Vegas in 2004 after her time ended in the Military. Since then she has been a part of the Health & Fitness industry managing various gyms throughout the valley even owning her own which led her into the MMA community. She’s trained with some of the best in the business such as Master Toddy-Master Toddys Muay Thai Academy, Randy Couture-Xtreme Couture, Shawn Tompkins-XC & TapouT, Robert Drysdale-Zenith BJJ, Mark Lamen-Cobra Kai, Dewey Cooper-Roy Jones Jr Boxing Gym & Mayweather Boxing Gym, Olu Lesmi Sanchez-TapouT & UFC Gym, Rafael Cordeiro-Kings MMA, a short extent with Mark DellaGrotte-Sityodtong USA in Massachusetts, and many more. Female training partners include pioneers such as Misha Tate, Heather Jo Clark, Barb Honchak, Julie Kedzi, Katlin Young, Colleen Schneider, Carla Esparza and many more. After Karina’s last fight in 2016, which she won, she decided to go to fashion school at the Las Vegas Art Institute for female athletic apparel and is now in school at UNLV for Business Management entrepreneurship so that she can learn to own and operate her own female athletic apparel line. She looks forward to collaborating with other new and upcoming fashion brands in the MMA community.
