Tom served with SEAL Team One, completing multiple deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and beyond. While still on active duty, he made headlines by enrolling at Northwestern University and playing linebacker in the Big Ten at age 32. Today, he’s a coach, father of four, and mentor to the next generation.

James Pomerantz is a novelist and journalist who previously ran nightclubs and restaurants in Chicago. His published works include Ghost Bandit, Undisclosed Sibling, and They Call Me Sid Rock.
