Dr Reza Adib, partner of former Queensland Premier Anastasia Palaszczuk, has been charged with three counts of rape, two counts of deprivation of liberty and one count of sexual assault involving a woman in her 30s. The alleged incident occurred at his Burleigh Heads waterfront apartment on 30 March. The prominent Brisbane weight loss surgeon has been released on police bail and is scheduled to appear at Southport Court on 14 May.
