The Greg Krino Show

Former Prisoner of War and A-10 Pilot Rob Sweet

Listen Later

First Lieutenant Rob "Sweetness" Sweet was flying his A-10 Warthog during the first Gulf War in 1991 when he was shot down by the Iraqis.  Rob’s flight lead - Captain Steve Phillis  - was tragically shot down and killed while trying to defend Rob. In captivity for 19 days, Rob endured horrendous treatment and didn't know if he would live or die each day. Still flying the A-10 thirty years later, Rob tells us his incredible story.
