Frankie Floied actually began his law enforcement career by spending a short amount of time with the Tennessee Department of Corrections. He then went to work for the Tennessee Department of Safety as a State Trooper and eventually became the Director of the Criminal Investigation Division.
Director Floied visits with his old friend, The Investigator, Jim Leach (who also served as THP/CID Director!), and the two discuss the "old time" Highway Patrol, undercover drug work, cold case homicide investigations, and officer involved shootings.
