Orach Chaim 1:31; When the growing Young Israel of St. Louis wanted to rent the ballroom of the Hamilton Hotel to accommodate the large yamim noraim crowds, the established Beis Medrash Hagadol turned to the Chief Rabbi of St. Louis, Rabbi Eichenstein, to foil their plans.
