This one comes straight from the calisthenics park. While working out, I stumbled upon what I call The Formula of Life:

Life = the amount of Love you have for it.

This isn’t something I discovered , it’s been here from the very beginning. It’s what made the world itself: the Love of God through Jesus Christ. He is Love, and He is Life. The more we allow Him to live and work through us, the more alive we truly become.

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.’” — John 11:25

“God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.” — 1 John 4:16

Right now, our world is filled with darkness — wars, hunger, hate — and it can feel like we’re defeated. But we are not. Darkness has not overcome the Light.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

The solution to all of this is simple: Love.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8

If we love one another the way we’re called to, we could never tolerate the atrocities we see today. To find life and live in peace again, we must love — deeply, selflessly, and unconditionally.

So let’s love, and let’s speak love. For when love speaks, it speaks life.
