Tarrant County commissioners voted yesterday to remove a monument dedicated to Confederate war soldiers and their descendants from the yard in front of the county courthouse. Commissioner Roy Brooks made a motion to remove the monument, and residents spoke on both sides, to remove it and to keep it.
