InductEV Partners to Bring a New Wireless Charging Bus to Market
InductEV and ENC have partnered to integrate high-power wireless charging into ENC’s Axess EVO-BE battery-electric buses. This collaboration aims to provide North American transit agencies with efficient, hands-free charging solutions, enhancing operational flexibility and reducing maintenance. The technology supports seamless on-route and depot charging, facilitating a one-to-one replacement of diesel buses.
Orange EV Surpasses 300 Fleet Deployment Milestone
Orange EV has surpassed a major milestone by deploying its turnkey electric truck solutions to over 300 fleets, operating in 35 states while providing end-to-end support to fleet customers. Its lineup includes the e-TRIEVER and HUSK-e models, designed for terminal, port, and rail operations.
ABB Helps Bring Clean Rail Solutions to Illinois and California
ABB and Stadler have partnered to supply advanced traction converters and batteries for Metra's battery-electric and Caltrans' hydrogen trains, promoting sustainable U.S. rail transport. "Our collaboration with Stadler is a testament to our commitment to sustainable transportation solutions," said Edgar Keller, President, ABB Traction division. "By leveraging our advanced technology and local manufacturing capabilities, we are helping drive the transition to cleaner rail transport."
Amazon-owned Zoox Begins Testing in Los Angeles
Amazon-owned Zoox will begin testing autonomous vehicles in Los Angeles this summer. Retrofitted Toyota Highlanders with human safety drivers will operate in a limited area, laying groundwork for future commercial ride-hailing services.
Global Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Sales Increase Year-on-Year
Global electric and plug-in hybrid vehicle sales surged 29% year-on-year in March 2025, totaling 1.7 million units, driven by strong demand in China and Europe. In contrast, North American growth lagged at 12%. Despite the challenges automakers are facing with the unknowns around tariffs, global EV momentum remains robust.
